What is Physiotherapy?
At CCAHN our Physiotherapists provide individual treatments tailored to each client’s needs helping to reduce pain and optimise strength, mobility and physical independence. Our focus is on maintaining mobility and independence in Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) by using a wide range of techniques to improve pain management, restore function and movement and prevent further problems.
Why Should I See A Physiotherapist?
Appropriate levels of physiotherapy can maintain optimum levels of mobility and dexterity, improving the health and well being of older Australians, and prevent or slow the progress of more serious conditions, particularly in people with long term health conditions
Physiotherapists are highly qualified and trained to treat and manage the physical function limitations associated with:
- underlying causes of joint, nerve and muscle disorders
- cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke,
- musculoskeletal conditions such as arthritis and osteoporosis, and
- respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- rehabilitation including fall and injury risk minimisation
